Q: How much does a cemetery lot cost?
A: The charge for a single lot is $200. There are currently no empty family lots available. Q: What are the burial charges for a standard coffin? A: There is a $400 charge for opening and closing a grave during summer months ($1000 during the winter, soil coditions permitting). This charge is usually included as part of the fees paid to the funeral home. Q: What are the burial charges for a cremation? A: $150 ($200 in the winter) Q: How many cremains can be buried on a single lot? A: No more than two are recommended. Q: Can cremains be buried on a lot that already contians a standard casket? A: Yes Q: Does the Town of Lakeside do any maintenance on cemetery lots? A: Yes. The township standard maintenance cuts the grass as needed during the summer. All other maintenance such as planting flowers and watering flowers must be done by family and/or friends. |
